Bekka + John

Maybe you know, maybe you don't, but we were in Houston, Texas not too long ago visiting friends and family. We tried to be under the radar so we could spend a little more time with family, but we were also there for our mission work and on top of that we were able to squeeze in a couple of photography sessions. One of those being this one!

John and Bekka had been friends for quite a while when they found their way into love. Soon, they will be getting married, and I was able to document their engagement session! Their session was full of love, laughs and cuddles. They rocked their session! I am so grateful to Bekka and John for thinking of us.  The session was held near the Wortham center and Allen Pkwy, an area that is very dear to my heart since I spent quite some time around the location right before our departure to Chile. This year we are praying and expecting great things to happen as we prepare for another year of our photography. This requires another post to explain what we really mean by that, but just know that great things are brewing and we have high expectations for what God wants to do through us this year. I have somany things I want to share, but for now enjoy this Houston engagement session :).

Verito + Martin

To say that this session was epic would be an understatement. Verito and Martin met six hours south of Santiago, Chile in a city called Concepción. Almost back to back they made the move into the big city, where their love grew stronger. Martin lives almost right in the middle of downtown so we decided to follow the style of his very own urban backyard. As we walked around the city, night made its entrance into their session. A little coffee, a little walking, hugs and kisses... isn't that all we need?

Enjoy Verito and Martin's engagement session in the heart of downtown Santiago, Chile.

Five years

I consider myself one of the luckiest women of earth. It is no joke. For the last five years Brian has proven himself to be the best husband I could have ever prayed for. On December 18, 2011 we made our vows; five years later it feels that this promise was just made yesterday. It has been an adventure. We have cried, we have laughed uncontrollably, we have left family behind to follow our calling. No children yet, but we spoil the heck of each other. We are creatures of habit, but we live an extraordinary life. We are rich in Jesus.

I still treasure in my heart one of the first things he told me:  "I want to treat you right". Five years later, he still does treat me right... Love you Brian.

Below you will see images of us on a southern Island in Chile called Chiloé. Chiloé's capital city is actually named Castro. It took us 12 hours to get to this Island, and interestingly enough, we, the Castros, arrived in Castro, Chiloé the day after Fidel Castro died. life is a mystery.  ;)

A special thanks to our friends Pedro and Camila who took these pictures on our trip down south of Chile. :)
