I'm the photographer behind Los Castro Photography.

I picked up my first camera when I was sixteen in a high school photography class, never realizing that little camera would eventually lead me here. Twenty-two years later, I still feel incredibly lucky that I get to make a living documenting people, places, and the fleeting moments that become our most meaningful memories.

Los Castro began as something my husband, Brian, and I dreamed up together. While we were engaged, we bought our first camera and started photographing sessions and weddings. Over the years, photography became much more than a business—it became a way for us to connect with people and tell their stories.

These days, I'm the primary photographer behind Los Castro. Brian still joins me from time to time, especially when a wedding calls for a second photographer, but most of the images you see here are photographed by me.

I believe the best photographs aren't necessarily the perfectly posed ones. They're the photographs that make you remember how something felt—the way your grandmother looked at you, the nervous laugh before walking down the aisle, the chaos of your family gathered around the table, or the quiet moment you didn't realize anyone was watching.

My time living overseas in Costa Rica and Chile deeply shaped the way I see people and the world. It taught me to slow down, pay attention, and recognize the beauty in ordinary life. That perspective continues to influence the way I photograph.

I'm a lover of Jesus, coffee, books, good hospitality, and stories that make you feel something. And more than anything, I want the people I photograph to feel seen, comfortable, and completely themselves.
