Texas engagements

Levon + Barbara

If only you could have seen the laughs, the tears, the talks that Barbara and I had growing up, you would understand the joy I feel as I type out this blog. In just a few months Barbara will be getting married. I have known Barbara since I was in high school. We have known each other for quite some time. I have seen her on her highs and on her lows. She has the seen the same of me. She told me jokingly right after her session that if we did not have Jesus, we wouldn’t probably be friends. I smiled. Maybe.

You see, Barbara and I are nothing alike. She’s A and i’m B. She’s north, and I am south. Who knows if we would have eventually found each other, but I am glad that we did. Jesus definitely gets the credit for this one. Now I share her joy as she has found ‘the one’. I share her gratefulness, because those that are closest to her know, that it was all very well worth the wait. Levon, you take care of my friend. I can’t want to see what God has in store for you both.

Ashlee + Daniel

It’s been a minute. Isn’t this what Gen Z says now to mean that it has been quite a while? I am showing my age now. Ok i’ll stop. In all seriousness, my last post was in June. If you would have asked me a year ago if my blog would have ever had such a large gap between posts I would have most likely not believed you. But guess what? Life happens. And of course it’s not a surprise that Covid had a lot to do with it. Regardless, the last few months have been extremely difficult, but it has also been a gift. I have been as busy as ever; i simply did not post as much.

A few years ago Ashlee and Daniel got married. We were able to take their engagement pictures then but were not able to take their wedding photos since we were leaving the states to live in South America. Now it seems that history is repeating itself and I am taking their pictures once more, but this time it is their turn to leave. As I type tonight they must be waking up, probably drinking coffee and enjoying the moroccan view from their apartment. New adventures await for the. It was a pleasure to tell one last story for them as they left behind family and friends back home. Texas will be forever yours guys. Have fun.

Arianna + Raul

Due to recent events I have been careful to photograph in Houston’s most popular locations. With protests and summer crowds, it has been hard to think of places to take my clients. So, after reaching out to a friend who lives in Tomball, we decided to go on a small adventure to check out this small but precious town.

Arianna and Raul met while in nursing school and both graduated fairly close to one another. Little did they know that they will be facing a pandemic soon. Little did they know that they would be facing 2020 together, engaged. As they go out day after day to care for those who are sick they are proud to have Faith as their shield. Arianna and Raul, I wish you the best in life. You are the a perfect example of a power couple. May 2020 be the best year for you in the midst of a rapid changing world.
