Houston photographer

It's been a minute...

I realize as I write this that my last post has been since January of this year. It goes to show that life has been busy for the most part. It definitely has not been slow in business, but time was not always on my side to dedicate time to the blog. The summer is coming and with it new adventures. I have a few weddings on the horizon and I am so excited to be sharing those stories soon.

For now, I would love to share Stephanie and Kevin’s story. If you have been a follower of Los Castro, you may remember their engagement and weddings pictures. Stephanie trusted me with her graduation pictures so many moons ago, and now I am here to document such a special stage in her life- Maternity. In honor of all the momma’s out there, please enjoy this beautiful session. May is for momma’s; happy mother’s day!

The Clevelands- Maternity Session

We have known Michael and Amanda for quite some time now and It was with great joy that I got to document their maternity session. You see, they currently live in Colorado, but on a quick trip to Texas they decided to take a chance on us. And oh how glad we were! Maternity sessions are usually taken in open fields, with a lot of green colors; however, the Clevelands wanted something a little different. I like different! So we went ahead and chose downtown Houston for their session. With a little bit of walking, we ventured out to some city streets and ending it with a mix of a vintage feel at the Heritage Society, Sam Houston Park. The more and more I get to document in Houston, the more I fall in love with this city. Congrats to Amanda and Michael on their baby girl!

Allison + Jovanny

We live in a great city y’all. We only need to explore it to make art. Before moving overseas I used to think my city was a little boring. It took me leaving Houston to realize the beauty and the character of this place I call home. Allison and Jovanny’s session has placed much inspiration inside this artistic heart. The Bayou city has left me mesmerized and wanting more. Perhaps, it’s the couple, perhaps, it’s their love. Whatever it is, bring it on!
