Merry Christmas to all. I realize as I write this that It has been a year since my last post. A few days after my last posted session, I experienced a personal loss. Something that truly affected me; more than that I thought it would. Some may say it was minor, this is what I even told myself. Now I understand that I was not truly being honest with myself. I still did photography throughout the year and my clients remained faithful to me in the midst of a very slow year. If you are one of those- I want to tell you thank you. Thank you for sticking it out with me. Thank you for your support.

I don’t know what 2024 will look like. But I have hope.

If your year has also been somber, know that you are not alone. 2023 was beautiful to me, despite a personal identity crisis. It was beautiful to me because I finally understood more about my “why”. I will share more as the months come to pass. I remain a wedding photographer and a family lifestyle photographer. This is who I am in the end. I document YOU. Thanks for trusting in me.

Mini Sessions 2019

Fall is almost here and so are Mini Sessions!
Every year, I offer 30 minute sessions in order for our clients to have an opportunity to document their family in time for the holidays. These usually go by fast as they are a pretty popular session. Below are some FAQ’s, as well as some more information on how to book your mini session this year! Can’t wait to see what we create this fall :)

What is a Mini Session?

Mini sessions are 30 minutes at a location that is chosen by the photographer. We usually offer two dates in two different locations to offer a little variety. In 30 minutes, we have enough content to give you a good solid 30 pictures , high-resolution images , all edited. These pictures are chosen by us; trust us when we say that we choose the BEST images for you. We also include an online gallery where you can download your pictures at your convenience.

When will my pictures be delivered?

Pictures will be delivered at around two weeks after session date. In case of a delay, we will be in communication with you explaining our reason and the new expected delivery date.

What is the difference between a regular family session and a mini session?

In a regular family session there is no number limit on photo delivery. You will definitely get more than 30 pictures and location is also your choice. We can also suggest locations but a regular family session can take up to an hour and depending on needs, second outfits may be added.

How many people can I have in my mini session?

The beauty of mini sessions is that you get us for a whole 30 minutes. We don’t set a limit on a number of people but please be advised that once you add more people into a session there is less of a chance to be creative due to lack of time. For example, a family reunion may benefit more in a regular session so that we may have time to focus on each individual family.

How can I book?

In order to book, please fill out the contact form on our website (click here) and let us know which date you are interested in. We will then offer you a time slot and send out a proposal where you can view your contract / pay for your session. In order to hold your spot, your session must be paid in full. Please read below for the two dates and locations we are offering this year:

October 26th -(AM SLOTS FROM 10AM-12)
Location - Sam Houston Park/ Heritage Society in Downtown (click here for the Cleveland’s session for a visual) There is free parking in this location but you may need to pay for parking if it’s full or if there is an event going on*

November 23d- (AM SLOTS FROM 10AM-12)
Location - Kleb Woods Reserve ( click here for the Minnick’s session for a visual)

Make-up dates will be offered in case of bad weather. We will send new dates out to you via e-mail/phone.

The following pictures tell a story. The story of a love so deep that rocks every woman. It is the deepest of human loves. I am speaking of the love of a mother and her child.

I’ve had the privilege to know this woman throughout most of my young adult life. I watched her grow into a beautiful woman. I watched her as she became a momma. I watched her as pain and hurt came into her life unexpectedly. I watched as she felt the loss of so many things around her. I watched her as she faced so many questions. In the midst of it all, she chose mercy and grace. She chose wisdom and truth. She is one of the bravest souls I know.

I hope these pictures give a small glimpse to the wonderful woman and momma she is. She is raising a young giant with a faith that can move mountains. I am so proud to call her a friend. SidaLee has the best momma!
