Engagement

Ashley + Mike

Can you imagine driving down to Corsicana, TX, shoot an engagement session and coming back to Houston all in one day? Well.. we did that twice that weekend! First it was Nacogdoches with Lindsey and Jason and then Ashley and Mike met us in downtown Corsicana from Dallas, TX. We were both traveling and let me just say that it was a fun adventure!

Mike and Ashley met in New Mexico where she is now a school teacher and he is in law enforcement. They will be wed in just a couple more weeks and we will drive once again to document their love. I am so excited for these two! They could not stop laughing during their session and that just makes my heart happy. Congrats Ashley and Mike! Can’t wait for your wedding! :)

Katie + Sam

Katie and Sam are one of a kind. Together, I am sure, they will conquer the world. Just a few months ago Katie had asked if I was available in December. I had no idea that she was going to get married and that she wanted me to be her wedding photographer! The reason why this is such a huge deal is because Katie is the daughter of a man I really respect. A man who discipled me through his teachings. Her dad, Eli Gautreaux, was my campus pastor when I attended Sam Houston. It was there that my life changed in a very, very good way. And now I have the privilege to document the special day of his daughter! Katie asked for a very unique session for her engagement pictures. She wanted something outside but she also wanted an indoor session at what is going to be their new home. Sam, the most cuddly fiancé I have ever photographed, was a natural at the camera! Together they made the perfect setting. God bless you guys and I cannot wait for your wedding!!

Cindy + Levi

Around August 2014 Cindy was saying goodbye to friends, family and everything she knew. She had recently applied to be an English teacher in Spain and had been granted the position over the summer. Her new home, Murcia, would be a small town very much like the her own home: Giddings, TX. During her going away party her friends and relatives would jokingly say, “bring us back a Spaniard” to which she would reply with laughter. Little did she know that these nonchalant comments were going to ring true in a few months, for she was to meet Levi, her Spanish fiancé. ;)

They met for the first time this year, got engaged, and will be wed in February! When you know, you know! Sadly I will miss her wedding due to moving overseas, but I couldn’t help and be part of their story through my lens. Cindy, I will miss you so much and I wish you the best in all you and Levi set your hearts to!
