Minnick Family Session

A quick glance at this session and you wouldn’t know that we were all sweating in what felt like 100 degree plus weather, and that we were attacked by mosquitoes. Despite the gift of humidity, we made it through and the Minnick family session was a success. As always, I try to to have a few shots of mom and dad during their family session. I’m in love with the chemistry between these two. While I was holding Jace with my left arm, I was clicking away with my right. When the husband is out of the country and you’re flying solo, then I need to work for two am I right? hahaha.

These last couple of weeks have been very productive and busy in our photography. We have a lot to share. For now, please enjoy this sweet family session.

Mommy and Me - Valery

It’s amazing what can be done in less than 30 minutes. A couple of weeks ago we had a Mommy and Me promotion. I said give me 15 minutes and I will give you 15 images. To be honest.. we ended up with much more than that, but I wanted to share with you what 15 images can look like in 15 minutes. This is Valery and her momma with her two kiddos. The following pictures tell a story. The story of a love so deep that rocks every woman. It is the deepest of human loves. I am speaking of the love of a mother and her child.

I’ve had the privilege to know this woman throughout most of my young adult life. I watched her grow into a beautiful woman. I watched her as she became a momma. I watched her as pain and hurt came into her life unexpectedly. I watched as she felt the loss of so many things around her. I watched her as she faced so many questions. In the midst of it all, she chose mercy and grace. She chose wisdom and truth. She is one of the bravest souls I know.

I hope these pictures give a small glimpse to the wonderful woman and momma she is. She is raising a young giant with a faith that can move mountains. I am so proud to call her a friend. SidaLee has the best momma!
