Allison - Maternity session

I did not fully understand what the ‘glow’ meant until i was pregnant with Jovie. People will often say “you have the glow!” and to that my friends, i say, how can we not?

Having life inside you is an experience that cannot be taken for granted. Only once do you feel them inside you, moving, being part of you.
For me it’s been two and half years since that experience but for Allison this is all new, and life awaits to be seen in just a few weeks. What a glorious day when you finally get to see your sweet bundle of Joy. To Allison and Jovanny , congratulations my friends! You won’t ever be prepared for what is to come, but you will always be prepared to Love.

Gideon

Pre-Quarantine, I was out and about enjoying this newborn session. Meet little but mighty Gideon.
His parents, probably the most awesome people i’ve ever met, also have a daughter named Hazel. It’s crazy to think this session happened before the world changed. Years later we may come to realize that this generation born to us during these times , may be the world changers we need so much. If you have time read about Gideon in the bible…the impossible is made possible.

We have seen things in 2020 that seemed quite unlikely to dream of just a few months ago. Now, we are in the midst of rapid change. May this generation born to us this year bring hope to our selfish hearts.

May the generation of Hazel and Gideon rise up and restore all Truth.

Corners

I have been silent since the beginning of all of this for many reasons. One, due to our obvious circumstance, I have no future content to display. Two, I have been enjoying some well deserved time with my little one. Last, I simply do not have much to say. Recently, I have noticed pockets of light throughout my home. It inspired me to create a mini project called corners. As I was doubting this name, I began to journal, and to my surprise, the song I was listening to spoke of the “corners of the earth”.

These are the corners of my house that make me most happy when I take the time to enjoy. I see the light come through, near 7PM and I understand why night has to come. A new day will soon be here but meanwhile, we must all face the corners of this earth that so long to be found and dealt with. What have you been hiding from? I think it’s time to face the skeletons in our closet.
